Karl Malden died at his home in Brentwood on Wednesday.  He was 97 and died of natural causes.  Best known for his Academy Award winning performance in "A Streetcar Named Desire", he acted in numerous films and TV shows and did a gig for American Express.  He was also the Academy's president for a few years.
