Thin Lizzy was forced to pull out of their performance at last night's Kobetasonik festival in Bilbao, Spain due to drummer Tommy Aldridge (Ex-Ozzy Osbourne) being involved in an accident and sustaining a broken collar bone. The band has also postponed two UK shows originally scheduled for this week.
"It's a real shame that our summer touring had to start this way," said THIN LIZZY guitarists Scott Gorham (Ex-Supertramp) and John Sykes (Ex- Whitesnake, Blue Murder) in a statement. "Tommy had a accident recently resulting in his collar bone being broken and we were hoping it would have healed enough for us to play all the forthcoming shows, but after recent practice sessions and visits to the specialist, it became apparent a decision had to be made to regrettably bow out of the Bilbao, Liverpool and Nottingham appearances."
The band intends to make up the UK shows in the fall and hopes to be back next year for the Kobesatonk festival.
