Christina Aguilera, Eagles to launch 24 hour online radio programs

Christina Aguilera, the Eagles, and Weezer will launch 24 hour, online radio programs in July. The program is the brain child of Clear Channel Radio and Front Line Management, who've dubbed the project APE radio (artist personal experience). The channels will run 24 hours a day and feature music selected by the artist as well as interviews and commentary. The shows will be accessible through Clear Channel's radio station websites as well as widgets on the artists' websites. Over the past few weeks, Aguilera was in the studio with CLear Channel programmers discussing motherhood, fashion, and music. Her playlist will reportedly have songs from Santigold, Black Sabbath, and Etta James. "I am so excited to be one of the first artists on a.p.e.," Aguilera says of the project. "Fans always write to ask me what I like and listen to, which makes this such a great opportunity for me to share my musical inspirations with them. My channel is going to be a special place for my fans to find out about my new music, upcoming tours and lots of other news and original content. It's going to be fun."
