Singer/songwriter Pete Yorn has a busy summer and fall ahead of him. His fourth album, "Back and Fourth", is scheduled to be released June 23. Afterwards, his collaboration duets record with actress Scarlett Johansson will hit stores September 8. Titled "Break Up", the 9 song album will be on Atco/Rhino Records. The lead single, "Relator" was made available on the album's website and on iTunes. Click Here to listen to the song. Johansson is best known for her work as an actress, starring in such films as "Lost in Translation" and "Match Point", though she did release the album, "Anywhere I Lay My Head" in 2008. The album featured 10 covers of Tom Waits songs along with one original. It sold just 19,000 copies and garnered varying reviews from critics. Yorn has reportedly been contemplating the "Break Up" project for several years. In a release, Yorn says "I was having a strange week of insomnia and when I finally passed out, it came to me in a dream. I woke up and the whole thing was in my head, fully formed." After recording and testing out the material for friends, Yorn decided to release the project. The album features eight Yorn originals and a cover of Big Star's "I Am the Cosmos". Yorn's current tour opening for Coldplay ends June 4 in Cinncinnati. No plans for a Yorn/Johansson tour have been announced.
