According to Velvet Revolver bassist Duff McKagan, formerly of Guns n' Roses, the band has yet to find a replacement for former Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland. The band had apparently found a singer, but had second thoughts and restarted the search. Mckagan, in a Rolling Stone interview, said We thought we landed on the singer. We all did, we played with him and we said, OK, we got our guy. Hes great. He went on to say, Maybe if we wouldve got there and had gigs booked right then and there it wouldve been a different story. But we didnt have gigs booked. We were given too much time and we were able to go, Ah, fuck, I dont like that about the guy. Mckagan fell short of naming the singer. Meanwhile, he's keeping busy with his punk band, Loaded, who recently released their second album, "Sick" and is getting ready to tour.
