The new release from AC/DC entitled "Black Ice" is selling a lot of copies after its U.S. release dated on October 21st. "Black Ice" is yet another album being sold exclusively through Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. The band's latest release is said to have already moved nearly 200,000 copies on its first day alone and is expected to possibly move up to 800,000 copies in its first week.
To promote the album Wal-Mart set up "pop up" stores in Los Angeles and New York, which allowed fans the chance to listen and buy "Black Ice", as well as, the opportunity to play the AC/DC branded video game "Rock Band".
Further promotions included an AC/DC branded store within all Wal-Mart's, which featured the band's new release, back catalog and merchandise.
"Black Ice" is the bands first studio album in eight years. They will begin their world tour in support of "Black Ice" on October 28th.
