A 27 year old blogger named Kevin Cogill has admitted to uploading nine tracks from the soon to be released album from Guns n Roses, entitled Chinese Democracy. Cogill pleaded not guilty and has not come clean on how he managed to get the songs. He faces five years in prison if found guilty, but in order for him to go to prison, they will have to prove that he profitted from leaking the Guns n Roses tunes.
After Cogill was arrested, Guns n Roses frontman released the following statement:
"Presently, though we don't support this guy's actions at that level, our interest is in the original source. We can't comment publicly at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
