George Carlin, who has had a history of heart problems in the past, has died of heart failure at age 71. Mr. Carlin was admitted to the hospital earlier yesterday afternoon, after complaining of chest pains, but apparently nothing could be done. The comic was pronounced dead at around 6 PM, June 22, 2008.
Carlin is survived by his wife Sally Wade, daughter Kelly Carlin McCall and brother Patrick.
