Motley Crue Looking to Part Ways with MTV

Nikki Sixx and Motley Crue are now looking to part ways with MTV, who originally signed on to do the Motley movie based on their best selling book, "The Dirt".

Nikki Sixx commented:

"We're trying to get them (MTV) out of the way to make this
movie that should have been made a long time ago," he said.  MTV has become bogged down in its own way. It's a channel that used to be hip and has now actually become unhip. We signed with them because we believed they were right, but they haven't come to the table," he said. "We need to find the right partner. They are not the right partner."

This movie would be lame just like their new album.  Can you imagine a group of actors in bad wigs acting as dumb as Motley crue members.  Dude, Whoa, Rad Dude.  I heard some tracks from the new Motley cd and it amazes me that people take them seriously.  The lyrics are the dumbest yet and the riffs are just wannabe riffs.  It screams desperation.  I never liked the crue even back in the heyday, but I could at least understand why people did.  Now, its just ridiculous.  What was the song, Don't go away mad, just go away.  Its time guys.  Go away.

You're nuts.  This is the best recording from the band since Feelgood and the movie would be the biggest music movie of all time.  You need to go away.

They are a great band and always will be! THe book was fantastic and I love their newer albums. You obviously don't know a good band when you see one! I am really looking forward to the movie.

I agree.  I don't think the world needs to see a Motley Crue movie.  It smells like greed to me.   I saw them on Larry King the other night, where their little guitarist looked like he was dead.  The rest of the guys kept glamorizing drugs and took pride in the numbers of women they slept with.  You could just tell that they are riding their past all the way to the bank and they are at peace with it now.  Also, Tommy is so hardened now.  I dated him briefly in the 80's and he was witty, funny, very naive, but he was so light-hearted and always had a smile on his face.  You can tell that life has beat him down even though he has lived the pampered life.  I don't think they should ever go away.  I just think they should stop whoring out their past.  Plus, I like the new songs and love the fact that there is a renewed interest.  Just spare us from the movie.

I think it would be great seeing the dirt made in to a movie
of all the bands that deserve a movie I think Motley deserves it

Biggest movie of all time? HIGHLY unlikely. No, no... DEFINITELY unlikely.

I read THE DIRT and found it quite entertaining. I feel the movie will probably be good, too. For anyone who disagrees with me, well, I just have one thing to say: You don't know a thing about anything and should just keep quiet so as not to embarass yourself, again.
