Legendary bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes announced Friday he is being forced to postpone the start of his upcoming US tour after suffering a setback in his recovery from dual-knee replacement surgery a month ago. "I am sorry to say that some recent setbacks in my recovery from knee operations are the reason that I can't get out to see everyone as soon as I had hoped," the Deep Purple, Trapeze and Black Country Communion member noted in a statement. "I want to make sure I give my fans the best live experience possible and promise it will be worth the wait. I can't wait to see everyone at the shows." The tour was set to kick off March 2 in San Jose, California, but will instead kick off August 9^th in Annapolis, Maryland. The trek will hit all the same cities, and tickets for the original shows will be good on the rescheduled date.
