As reported Wednesday, the entire catalog from Rock n Roll legends The Beatles became available Thursday on digital streaming services like Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon Prime Music and Tidal. Unlike some artists such as Taylor Swift, Beatles tracks will also be available on services with free, ad-supported memberships like Spotify. Internet radio providers like Pandora won't have access to the catalog, however. Music from The Beatles has been historically slow to roll out to new forms of media, especially digital. When the iTunes store debuted, it took some six years of prodding to convince those in charge to release the catalog to Apple. Once they did, a staggering 2 million Beatles downloads were tracked in just the first week.
