Kendrick Lamar Leads Field with 11 Grammy Nods

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences on Monday revealed the nominees for the upcoming 58th annual Grammy Awards. Catching some insiders by surprise, rapper Kendrick Lamar led the field in nominations, with 11, topping Eminem's record for nominations in a single year by a hip-hop artist. Lamar was four clear of the next highest number of nods, as Taylor Swift and the Weeknd each earned seven. All three artists will be up for the coveted Album of the Year category, along with Alabama Shakes and Chris Stapleton. The Weeknd and Swift are also up for Record of the Year, and will compete with Ed Sheeran, D'Angelo and Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars.
