Thrash metal legends Slayer showed a softer side this week, saving a fan's car when they decided to give him free tickets to their November 14th show at the Forum in Inglewood, California.  The story began earlier this week when a die-hard fan of the band released a video on YouTube in an attempt to sell his 1997 Ford Escort.  The video, a spoof of the oft-mocked Matthew McConaughey commercials for Lincoln, picked up a staggering 55,000 views in just two days.  Fortunately for the fan, members of Slayer were among those that saw the clip, and they decided to reward the fan's creativity by getting him tickets free of charge.  Check out the fan's original video below, as well as a video response from Slayer frontman Tom Araya in which he tells the fan not to sell the car.
