Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has put his 8000 square foot mansion in the UK on the market, according to a story published this week in the Birmingham Post. The six bedroom, Edwardian home carries a list price of 2.6 million British pounds, or just over $4.3 million. Located in Lapworth, a lavish community in Warwickshire, England, the home is loaded with original features including the stained glass windows, open fireplaces and leaded light paneling. The home also sits on six carefully landscaped acres complete with several posh gardens.
Tony Iommi is well respected in the music community, having founded the legendary heavy metal band in 1968 with singer Ozzy Osbourne, drummer Bill Ward and Geezer Butler. The band is currently scheduled to resume touring in North America, beginning with a March 31st stop in Brooklyn, New York. The mini-tour includes mostly Canadian shows but then wraps up April 26th with a show in L.A. Iommi was diagnosed with cancer in early 2012, and has been receiving treatment for the disease during touring breaks.
