The two surviving members of the legendary rock band The Doors will reunite sometime in the next few months, according to comments made by guitarist Robby Krieger to Rolling Stone. The idea behind the reunion is to pay tribute to the band's keyboardist Ray Manzarek, who succumbed to cancer in May. Krieger and drummer John Densmore have had a long-standing feud, which began in 2002 when Krieger and Manzarek began touring as the Doors of the 21st Century. Densmore sued over the use of the band's name, and Krieger counter-sued for a staggering $40 million over income lost due to Densmore's unwillingness to sign off on licensing deals for Doors songs. Densmore even wrote a book, The Doors Unhinged, which chronicled the feud. Krieger and Manzarek had been scheduled to perform together in Orange County on August 10th, but canceled the gig before Manzarek's death when he became ill. No word on when Krieger and Densmore will reunite, nor if it will be a single show or lead to a tour or even a new album.
