Kiss bassist Gene Simmons spoke to UK website The Sun recently, saying a concert promoter put a few hundred million dollars in a bank account and asked if Gene would help get Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham (John Bonham's son) to do a Led Zeppelin reunion tour.
Simmons said, "In 2009 or 2010 I was given a few hundred million dollars in an account by a large concert promoter, and given the task of reaching out to Jimmy and Robert, trying to convince them to get back together........Of course, it didn't work out, Robert just doesn't want to do it."
The members of Zeppelin are currently promoting "Celebration Day", a concert film of the band's 2007 show at O2 Arena in London. The press conference can be found here.
