Tom Keifer, the embattled former frontman of Cinderella, has signed a deal with Mevoree's Records to release his long-awaited solo debut after years of wondering if he would ever be able to sing again. In 1994, Keifer left Cinderella when doctors discovered nodules on his vocal chords. He has had to undergo numerous surgeries over the years, and had to re-teach himself to sing after suffering paralysis in his left vocal chord. After spotty reunion tours with Cinderella in the late 90s, Keifer toured with the band in 2000, 2002, and 2006, but had to back out of a planned tour in 2008 when his vocal chords hemmorhaged again. Keifer's originally began working on a solo album in 1997, but work was halted by a Cinderella reunion and interrupted numerous times since becuase of his health issues. The album is now tentatively scheduled for a release sometime next spring, though an official release date has yet to be determined. The effort has not been given a title, but a message posted on Keifer's webpage notes that it will feature 14 songs.
