Some fan-captured footage has surfaced online of the August 10th performance at the UK's Bloodstock Open Air festival by Dio Disciples, the band honoring late heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio. Check out the clips below. Dio Disciples features several former members of Dio, including drummer Simon Wright, guitarist Craig Goldy, bassist Rudy Sarzo and keyboardist Scott Warren. Charged with the task of recreating Dio's powerful vocal tracks is former Yngwie Malmsteen and Iced Earth frontman Tim "Ripper" Owens, who is also remembered as the singer who briefly replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest at one time. The band has been touring for the last several months to "pay tribute and keep Ronnie's music alive," according to Wright, and has the full support of Dio's widow Wendy. Viewers may notice that Sarzo is absent from the clips below, as he has taken time off from the project and was replaced on recent gigs by former White Lion/Megadeth/Bklack Label Society bassist James Lomenzo.
