Pop superstar Britney Spears is the prize in an ongoing war between record label executives vying to be her next home. According to reports, Spears is being courted by Epic Records chairman L.A. Reid and Barry Weiss, who heads up Island Def Jam Motown and Universal Republic. The 30 year-old singer has one album left on her current deal with RCA, but Reid and Weiss are taking no chances to sign the star whose seven previous albums have sold more than 100 million copies combined. Industry insiders predict Spears will get between $3 million and $5 million an album, though spokesmen for the labels declined to comment.
