Popular British soul singer Adele announced over the weekend that she is pregnant with her first child.  "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," read a statement on the 24 year-old star's official blog.  "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx."  The post actually created a surge in traffic to the website, causing it to crash several times over the weekend.  Though she released her debut album, "19," in 2008, Adele burst onto the scene in 2011 with "21," particularly the hit single "Rolling In the Deep."  The album has sold more than 9 million copies since its release and has spent 24 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 aolbums chart.
