R&B star D'Angelo will reportedly make his first appearance on television in 12 years next month when he performs during the BET Awards, scheduled for July 1st. Since 2000, the neo-soul singer has been conspicuously absent from the spotlight, with no albums or live performances other than a handful of collaborations with other artists. Making his return to music this year, D'Angelo has performed a handful of European dates including Bonnaroo earlier this month, and is scheduled to perform at the Essence Music Festival in July and Jay-Z's Made in America event in September.
