Alt-punk veterans Green Day were forced to cancel a planned "secret" show after the city of Burbank, California refused to grant the band required permits citing concern over security.  The concert had been scheduled to take place Friday, June 22nd, with thousands of fans expected to attend.  Authorities worried that the turnout would be much larger than anticipated once the secret location was revealed, and security staff would not be able to handle the mass of people.
