Jon Oliva, the powerhouse metal singer that rose to prominence with Savatage, performed with his current band Pain in Tampa, Florida on Sunday. The show was a warm-up for the band's soon to begin tour intended to celebrate the 25th anniversary of "Hall of the Mountain King," the iconic album that put Savatage on the map. During the tour, the band will perform the entire "Hall of the Mountain King" album in addition to other Savatage material, Pain tracks and some songs from Doctor Butcher, the band Oliva formed with fellow Savatage alum Chris Caffery.
