Rapper Lil' Boosie's violent lyrics may be used against him next week when he goes on trial for murder in Louisiana. Born Torrance Hatch, the rapper is about to stand trial for paying a hitman named Michael Louding to murder Terry Boyd in 2009. On Tuesday, a judge in the case ruled that a few select lyrics can be used as evidence in the trial, including referneces to murder and money such as "187", "murk" and "cake." According to the judge's ruling, prosecutors won't be able to play Boosie's raps for jurors, or recite songs word-for-word, but those three words can be brought up.
Hatch is currently being held in Angola, the largest jail in the country, though his attorneys have petitioned the court to have him transferred to a prison in East Baton Rouge.
