According to a report in Variety, country superstar Taylor Swift is being considered for a role as iconic folk singer Joni Mitchell in the upcoming film adaptation of Sheila Weller's book, "Girls Like Us."  The book explores the lives and careers of not only Joni Mitchell but also Carly Simon and Carole King.  Swift has previously been cast in a role as herself in the movie "Valentine's Day" and in a guest role on "CSI,"  but the Joni Mitchell part would be her first lead role in a motion picture.
