According to a Rolling Stone report, Green Day have been selected to induct Guns n' Roses into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this month at a ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio. Guns keyboard player Dizzy Reed, meanwhile, has confirmed that all the band's original lineup will be present at the induction.
Green Day members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool will join other big names inducting bands at the R&R Hall induction, including comedian Chris Rock, who has been tapped to induct Red Hot Chili Peppers. Public Enemy rapper Chuck D will introduce the Beastie Boys at the ceremony, John Melencamp will welcome Donovan, and ZZ Top will induct Freddie King.
With 65 million sales in their illustrious career along with a highly successful musical and film based on their album "American Idiot," Green Day will likely join Guns in the R&R Hall one day, though they won't actually be eligible for another two years.
