Breakout soul star Adele cleaned up at the 2012 Brit Awards Tuesday night, taking home the awards for British female solo artist and the coveted album of th eyear recognition.  The night was not without controversy, however, as when Adele went up on stage to give an acceptance speech for the album of the year award, the event's organizers cut the speech short, ushering the 23 year-old singer offstage after just a few lines.  Adele responded by flipping her middle finger, a gesture meant for the organizers of the event.
