Concert promoter Mike Blackwell reported Tuesday that country legend Merle Haggard has been hospitalized in Macon, Georgia and his performance at the Macon City Auditorium was canceled seven minutes before it was scheduled to begin.  Details of the singer's illness were not disclosed, but the promoter said he had been ill since he left his northern California home last week.  The status of the rest of Haggard's tour dates is unknown at this time.
