On Saturday, the rapper welcomed he and wife Beyonce's first child into the world, and by Monday he had recorded and released a song in tribute to his daughter, which the couple named Blue Sky Carter (Jay-Z's real name is Shawn Carter). Carter was in the news once again on Tuesday when Duracell announced that Jay-Z would be the face of a new ad campaign promoting its new Powermat wireless charging systems. Financial details of the endorsement deal were not disclosed, but the rapper appeared all over ads the company displayed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, where it was debuting the Powermat products.
