Velvet Revolver announced this week they will reunite with original frontman Scott Weiland for a special concert being organized to pay tribute to John O'Brien, the award-winning composer who was found dead in a hotel room in Chicago at the age of 45. The concert, scheduled to take place January 12th at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, will also feature Maroon 5's Adam Levine and Jam3es Valentine, Sheryl Crow, Rage Against the Machine's Tome Morello, and folk legend Stephen Stills.
The concert will mark the first time Weiland performs with Velvet Revolver since they parted way four years ago. The band has never officially replaced the singer, though it has recorded with Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor, and has pretty much been on hiatus since the breakup.
