There were a number of surprises at Monday night's American Country Awards, as relative newcomer Jason Aldean was the night's biggest winner with a total haul of six awards. The singer, who recently won his first CMA Awards, took home the honors for Arist of the Year, Single of the Year, Male, and Touring Artist of the Year. Carrie underwood and husband-wife duo Thompson Square also made some noise at the ceremony, taking home three awards each.
The American Country Awards are voted on by fans, unlike the Country Music Association Awards, or CMAs. The ceremony took place Monday night in Las Vegas, was broadcast by Fox TV, and hosted by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenowith, who each performed during the show. Country veterans Alabama were honored with the Greatest Hits Award, while Toby Keith was named the Artist of the Decade. Check out a full list of winners below.
