Country superstar Keith Urban will undergo thoat surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal chords, his represetatives announced Thursday, forcing the Australian singer to cancel the remaining 2011 tour dates from his schedule for vocal rest, per doctor's orders.

The surgery and ensuing rehab will also force the 44 year-old singer to bow out of the All for the Hall Benefit on January 18th, which he was scheduled to host.  Leading up to the surgery, Urban will go ahead with scheduled TV appearances and one-song performances, while all canceled dates will be rescheduled for next year.
