Actress / singer Zoey Deschanel and her husband, Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard announced Tuesday that they have reached a mutual decision to part ways. The decision was amicable, the couple said via a spokesman, and the split will not involve lawyers or court battles.
News of the split comes less than a week after Deschanel's duo, She & Him, released its first holiday album. The actress has also been busy with her Fox sitcom "New Girl," which was picked up for the whole season after the pilot saw strong ratings in September. She also sang the national anthem in Arlington before a World Series game two weeks ago.
