Tony Bennett Becomes Oldest Artist with No. 1 Album

It's official.  Legendary crooner Tony Bennett has his very first No. 1 album as his "Duets II" topped the latest Billboard 200 albums chart, moving 179,000 copies in its first week.  At 85, Bennett is the oldest living artist to reach No. 1, a distinction previously held by Bob Dylan, who reached the summit with "Together Through Life" at age 67 in 2009.  Bennett's highest chart position before Thursday was No. 3 by his first "Duets" album in 2003.

Bennett also made chart history a week ago when his duet with Amy Winehouse, a cover of the soul classic "Body and Soul" made him the oldest living artist to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart.  In addition to Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey and Carrie Underwood also took part on the album.
