Sly Stone, frontman for the iconic 70s rock-fusion act Sly and the Family Stone, is homeless and living in a van which is parked in the rough neighborhood of Crenshaw in los Angeles, according to a report in the New York post. Just four years ago, Stone was libving comfortably in a Napa valley mansion, but years of drug abuse and pooor business decisions cost the singer everything during the worst US recession since the 1930s. Stone does not even receive royalties from his music anymore, having sold the rights to Michael Jackson in 1984. While he has not performed live anywhere for years, Stone reportedly still records music ona laptop in his van.
