According to a report from Seattle's 107.7 The End radio station, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic will perform the band's groundbreaking album "Nevermind" in its entirety on September 20th to mark the 20th anniversary of the album's release. Novoselic will reportedly be joined at the tribute concert by the Fastbacks, the Long Winters, Visqueen and Campire OK, with other acts yet to be named. Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl wil apparently not attend, however, as he is scheduled to perform in Cleveland, Ohio that night.
The event is scheduled to take place at the Experience Music Project's Sky Church in Seattle and proceeds will be donated to Susie Tennant, who worked with the band at both the Sub Pop and Geffen labels, and is currently suffering from cancer. Tickets for the event have already sold out.
