Pop superstar Katy Perry made Billboard Hot 100 history this week when her latest single, "Last Friday Night (TGIF)" became the fifth single from her "Teenage Dream" to reach No. 1 on the singles chart. The feat has never been accomplished by a female artist, and only Michael Jackson has done it at all. Jackson achieved the feat in 1987-88, when five singles from his "Bad" album reached the chart's pinnacle. Jackson achieved the feat in nine months and two weeks, while Perry has done it in fourteen months and one week, though Perry's five No. 1s have ruled the chart for a combined 18 weeks, while Jackson's five songs stayed on top for just seven weeks.
