Legendary industrial metal pioneers Ministry will reportedly reunite to take part in next year's Wacken Open Air festival, scheduled for August 2nd through the 4th in Wacken, Germany. The band last played together on its 2008 "C-U-LaTour," which concluded July 19th, 2008 in Dublin, Ireland. During the performance, frontman Al Jourgensen repeatedly said it would be the last Ministry concert ever. Footage from that tour was compiled into a live CD / DVD release titled "Adios... Puta Madres," released in 2009.
Wacken Open Air was first held in 1990 as a small showcase for German metal bands, but by 1998 it had become one of the premier European festivals. The event features more than 70 acts from all over the world, including some of the biggest names in metal, performing on four stages. Other band's confirmed for the 2012 edition include the Scorpions, Hammerfall, U.D.O., Cradle of Filth and Amon Amarth.
