HBO has acquired the North American television rights to Martin Scorsese's new documentary about the life of legendary Beatles musician George Harrison. The film, titled "George Harrison: Living In the Material World," will air on the premium cable network in two parts on October 5th and 6th. The biopic will chronicle Harrison's life from his humble childhood in Liverpool through his time with the Beatles, and his life afterwards as a musician, philanthropist and filmmaker. The film reportedly contains a host of never-before-seen photos and home videos, plus interviews with a number of legendary musicians including Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, George Martin, Eric Idle and a host of others. The film be accompanied by a companion book of the same name, written by Harrison's widow Olivia.
