Rapper Eminem's latest album, "Recovery," has become the first album in history to sell one million digital downloads in the US, just edging out Adele's "21," which should reach the milestone next week.  "Recovery" has sold a total of 3.9 million copies, with physical sales included.  Since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital album sales in 2005, only 12 titles have surpassed 500,000 digital sales.
