Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics over the weekend unveiled the title and release date for his next album. Titled "The Blackbird Diaries," the set will arrive in stores August 23rd on Razor & Tie Records. The album will feature guest spots from a number of well-known acts, including Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks, with whom Stewart collaborated on her latest release, "In Your Dreams." Other big names that contibuted are Martina McBride, Colbie Caillat and the Secret Sisters. Check out a trailer for the album below.
Stewart also co-produced the latest release from singer Joss Stone (who appears in the trailer for "Blackbird Diaries," and made news last week with the announcement that he had formed a supergroup with Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Stone, and Bob Marley's youngest son Damian, along with legendary Indian film score composer A.R. Rahman. Going by the name Super Heavy, the quintet have been working on their first album for a year-and-a-half, and hope to have the project in stores by September.
