Rapper Gucci Mane was taken into custody Friday when making a scheduled visit to his probation officer near Atlanta. The arrest stems from a misdemeanor battery charge against the rapper resulting from an incident in January. The rapper, whose real name is Radric Davis, allegedly picked up a woman at a local mall, offered her $150 to return to his hotel room with him, then pushed her out of his moving car when she declined. The woman was reportedly taken to the hospital with "soreness and pain" after the incident. In addition to the battery charge, Davis will be charged with violating his probation. The rapper spent 90 days in jail in 2001 for cocaine possession, six months in 2005 for assault, and a year in 2009 for a prior violation of the probation for assault.
