Pop superstar Britney Spears has notched her sixth No. 1 album as "Femme Fatale" comes in atop the Billboard 200 chart with 276,000 units sold in its first week of release. Spears is now tied for third-most No.1 albums among women with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey behind Madonna, who racked up 7 No. 1s in her career, and Barbra Streisand who earned nine.
"Femme Fatale" is Spears' seventh studio album, and only 2007's "Blackout" failed to reach No. 1 on the albums tally, peaking at No. 2 with 290,000 first-week sales. The singer's last album, "Circus," debuted at No. 1 with 506,000 copies sold in the first week after its December 2nd, 2008 release.
