Muse To Perform in Outer Space?

The British alternative rock trio Muse is reportedly looking to be the first band in history to perform in outer space.  The trio have approached Virgin Airlines owner Richard Branson about perorming on one of the airline's upcoming Galactic Flights, which will be the first commercial flights into outer space in history.

"We could do it on [Branson's] spacecraft he's got happening," Muse frontman Matt Bellamy told the Sun. "Although we do have a lot of equipment, so I guess we'd have to use pods to carry our stuff and we'd scale back the shows a lot."

"We've had some discussions about playing in space," Bellamy added. "Sometimes very coherent conversations and sometimes very late at night, but it's for real."

Branson's proposed Galactic flights will carry wealthy tourists into outer space, which excites Bellamy. "I do think it will be possible in the future and I'm sure it will happen in my lifetime," he added. "We'd love to be part of that."
