The Gorillaz have announced they will offer a free digital album to fans for Christmas this year. "At the moment, we've got an Advent calendar on our website, and there is a daily door that opens to reveal a gift," Gorillaz co-founder Jamie Hewlett said in an interview with Perth Now. "On Christmas Eve, a video for one of the new songs from the iPad album will be released. Then, on Christmas Day, fans get the whole album downloaded to their computer for free as a gift." The band's frontman Damon Albarn revealed about a month ago that he'd been recording a complete album on his iPad that he hoped to have ready for Christmas.
