Former Dangerous Toys frontman Jason McMaster is set to make history as the first heavy metal musician to be honored by the South Texas Music Walk of Fame in Corpus Christi, the city where he grew up. McMaster first made his mark in the Austin-based progressive metal band, Watchtower back in the early '80s before joining the band Dangerous Toys, who achieved some success in metal's heyday in the mid-80s. In recent times, McMaster has been performing with his bands Broken Teeth, Ignitor, and several tribute bands. McMaster was honored by the Texas Music Hall of Fame in 1998.
