Shock-rock pioneer Alice Cooper was among the artists nominated for induction into the 2011 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The list, released Tuesday, also includes Neil Diamond, Tom Waits, LL Cool J, Neil Diamond, the Beastie Boys, the J. Geils Band, Donna Summer, Dr. John, Chuck Willis, Chic, Joe Tex, and Donovan. To be eligible for induction, artists must have been active in music for at least 25 years. The 2011 class of inductees will be announced in November, and the induction ceremony will be held in New York City next March.
