Pop singer Avril Lavigne has launched the Avril Lavigne Foundation. The organization, partnering with Easter Seals, will provide services and recreational programs for children suffering from serious illness and disblity.

"I am always inspired by the personal experiences of people living with a disability or a serious illness and how they work so hard to not be defined by their circumstances," the singer said in an interview.
