Pop star Jessica Simpson is the latest rumored candidate to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on "American Idol". Simpson has reportedly had several meetings with the show's producers, who are remaining silent about their search. In addition to Simpson, Bret Michaels, Usher, Justin Timberlake, Elton John, and Howard Stern have been rumored as candidates. There is expected to be a choice made on a replacement for Cowell sometime in the beginning of September.
