Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx posted the following update on the progress of recording the second album for his new band Sixx: A.M.

"Just finished all the bass tracks on the SIXX: A.M. album this week. James and I have a few lyric re-writes before he starts laying down final vocals. Listening back to all the songs the other day really put the album in perspective on how far we've pushed our selves. I think the biggest challenge now is lyrically to outdo what we've done musically."

The album, which is not yet titled, is tentatively due for release late 2010 or early 2011.
